A Grand Day Out

Day one (the third)
We all die again

Give talisman to goblin king, get xp. 

Mash doesn't like tree stomps up to give it a good talking to.

Gets slapped in the face by branch, its obviously a treant.

11 dmg, shit Mash is dead.

Still goes first in initiative though. (1 saving throw)

Eduardo attacks tree with torch (doesn't help Mash).

Mattie is a BAMF and rolls a nat 20 cone of fire and burns tree (also doesn't help mash).

Tree misses everyone else somehow.

…. 2 saving throws…

….3 saving throws! now just a peaceful sleep.

We win! Eduardo burns his first healing hands spell and heals for 5hp.

4 Symbols under tree base, Mattie says they are giant runes, original magic runes!

Earth, water, wind and fire! By your powers combined we all do a sick flip. (everyone rolled 18+)

Camp out in left room to regain hp and skills, no one jumps us.

Go to mystery puzzle door and Korben Dallas that shit. Ethereal door face, lets us in says beware of the dark. Mash gets 4 torches. 

You see a well made dark room, seemingly a crypt. You spot shadowy figures in the projected torch light on the walls!


Enter shadow fight, we are useless and can't do shit.

Mattie drops to the ground.

Eduardo drops to the ground (like his forgotten bow).

Mash tries to save the day, kills one, but then also drops to the ground.

Shit, party wipe.

But wait, DM fiat! old beardo Kvath himself shows up and Gandalf the white's us back to life and grants holy weaponry. Cake walk!

We win!

Day One (the second)
We forgot all the food

In Stonesplit pass. 

"Road is long and road-y"

Welp down pass only way to go

Good news; Eduardo has rations!

Bad news; only one days worth…

Shit, forage time.

Make a camp.

Mash takes first watch, falls asleep.

Wakes up before others find out.

Old man beardo is chilling at the camp fire.

Well… we are hungry.

Met goblins,

  • almost died, but killed scout
  • micro rest back to 10/11 hp
  • mash missed a guy asleep with adv
  • Eduardo drops bow and doesn't pick it up (#2)

Met some viney zombies, mash almost died again, chugged a potion. Mattie found a incorporeal book and seems to now know magic. nbd.

Now met some good goblins we killed some of their bros, we are sorry.

Have to get talisman's off zombie goblins (first was back on plant zombie). Ok.

Found a giant tree in a room, very suspicious as underground – three side tunnels.

Right is spooky cobweb tunnel. Edwardo you see a completely clean section of wall where everything else is dirty. "Cool". Turns around.

Left is spooky empty room, top is spooky well with 2 more tunnels. 2spoopy4me

Seems to be a wishing well! Mash chucks in a coin and drinks some glowing water regaining hp.

Top well path ends in puzzle door. Other well path is spooky spider well path #2. Go in, giant spider dick, gets deaded. Find other talisman and mash sees clean wall as well now -
"wow Eduardo that's crazy that wall is completely clean I've never seen anything like that at all!"

Eduardo mans up and finds secret room, shield on pedestal with fire spewing out.


Mash and Mattie come in and solve fire avoidance puzzle, get magic shield of fire protection.


Day One
Everyone dies

Mash tried to cheat at liar's dice.

Edwardo forgot to pick up his bow (1st time).

Demons came and killed edwardo's adopted family, rescued (almost dead) Tommy and benji.

Stashed them behind the bar unconcious

And everyone else.

Balrog came and crushed every house.

Mash finds mattie and ford.

Party groups at tavern and tries to get the villagers out.

Balrog flies and cuts everyone off, crushing benji and tommy.

Quick into the tavern!

Balrog runs to tavern.

Quick out of the tavern!

Only mash, edwardo (who mysteriously has his bow) and mattie get out.

Terminator wizards (come with me if you want to live) teleport us out.

Fade to black….

A blog for your campaign

Wondering how to get started? Here are a few tips:

1. Invite your players

Invite them with either their email address or their Obsidian Portal username.

2. Edit your home page

Make a few changes to the home page and give people an idea of what your campaign is about. That will let people know you’re serious and not just playing with the system.

3. Choose a theme

If you want to set a specific mood for your campaign, we have several backgrounds to choose from. Accentuate it by creating a top banner image.

4. Create some NPCs

Characters form the core of every campaign, so take a few minutes to list out the major NPCs in your campaign.

A quick tip: The “+” icon in the top right of every section is how to add a new item, whether it’s a new character or adventure log post, or anything else.

5. Write your first Adventure Log post

The adventure log is where you list the sessions and adventures your party has been on, but for now, we suggest doing a very light “story so far” post. Just give a brief overview of what the party has done up to this point. After each future session, create a new post detailing that night’s adventures.

One final tip: Don’t stress about making your Obsidian Portal campaign look perfect. Instead, just make it work for you and your group. If everyone is having fun, then you’re using Obsidian Portal exactly as it was designed, even if your adventure log isn’t always up to date or your characters don’t all have portrait pictures.
